Christer Carlsson is a medical doctor and holds a PhD in Neurosurgery, Lund University and is a specialist in Anesthesiology since 1984 and in Pain Medicine (Algology), since 1997.
Christer Carlsson has worked as a medical doctor in pain management for over 25 years and has held a number of positions at the major hospitals, and was Consultant and Head of Physical Medical Unit, Lund University Hospital, Rehabilitation Center, 1995-2002.
Today, Christer Carlsson is heading a private Pain Unit, since 1999 (www.florencekliniken.se).

Mattias Ohlsson holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics and is Assoc. Professor in Computational Systems, Lund University. Mattias Ohlsson was recently appointed as Professor of Information Technology with focus on Machine Learning and Data Mining at the School of Information Technology at Halmstad University. His research is focussed on the application of machine learning and artificial intelligence in medicine and biology, and he has e.g. been involved in product development for interpretation of special images of the heart. His research within machine learning is focused on artificial neural networks and deep learning.
