Professor Carl Borrebaeck, is a company builder who previously founded the Nasdaq listed companies Immunovia AB, Senzagen AB, BioInvent Int. AB, and Alligator BioScience AB.
Carl Borrebaeck has been awarded a number of awards, such as AkzoNobel’s Science Prize (2009); Royal Engineering Academy Gold Medal (2012) for “his ground-breaking research on biomarkers” and he was appointed the Biotech Builder of the year 2017 for his entrepreneurship. He is the Director of CREATE Health Strategic Center for Translational Cancer Research, a permanent member of the Royal Academy of Engineering Sciences, and former vice president of Lund University. Carl Borrebaeck is also the Founding Mentor for Nordic Mentor Network for Entrepreneurship (NOME).

Göran Barkfors has over 30 year of experience in programming and software architectures and is the founder and CEO of Barkfors Fleet AB. A software / hardware company producing services for the transport sector, as well as Fleet management software for the office, which includes planning, EDI, optimization, map technology, pricing and invoicing. Furthermore, Barkfors Fleet AB also produces truck computers, including advanced software for order handling, RFid reading, weight handling and navigation. Both handheld and ordinary PC and tablets, as well as having measurements algorithms for fuel consumption and other Canbus based data.
Maria Klement holds BSc in Chemistry, a MScin Molecular biology from Umeå University, and a PhD in Biochemistry from Dept. Biochemistry and Biophysics, Stockholm University. She has a broad research experience, using multivariate analysis methods, lipid biochemistry, and inflammation processes in cardiovascular disease. Maria has extensive experience as project manager in translational research, as well as understanding of life science health economics. She is today research coordinator at the Dept. Immunotechnology and CREATE Health Cancer center and in charge of external communication at the department.
Maria Klement has personal experience of living with chronic pain after a spinal cord injury and has used this experience in the development and design of PainDrainer. She has also experience of Pain management through the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, at both Stockholm Spine Center and Lund University Hospital.
Current appointments: Research coordinator for EU-MSCA CoFunded Doctoral Program, CanFaster. A program combining cutting-edge cancer research and entrepereurship.
Ulrika Axelsson holds a PhD in Immunotechnology and a MSc in chemical engineering from Dept. Immunotechnology, Lund University. Ulrika Axelssonis the Deputy Director of CREATE Health Strategic Center for Translational Cancer Research. Prior to this she held the position as cancer scientist at the department and BBMRI (Biobank Sweden). Ulrika has more than 10 years of experience in coordinating large translational project, involving both academia, healthcare sector and industry and was highly involved in the formation of the SWElife organization (www.swelife.se), as well as the Lund University Cancer Center at Medicon Village.
